HOW AND WHY IT STARTED
We started hand pouring baits over 20 years ago. It started because of the need for a high quality product at a fair price. This is what we found: 1) Baits "go bad" fast! We can not tell you how many times we have opened a brand new bag of baits only to find creases in many of them making half the bag or more unusable! It's frustrating and costly to say the least! 2) Let's talk about cost, are you sick of paying big money for defective half usable baits - we sure were! 3) Quality - it matters! Ever wonder why all those baits are defective or so stiff they are unusable? It's because many companies use the same formula for all of their baits when they shouldn't! This is what we did....
THE FORMULAS
When we started pouring baits, it became obvious to us that different baits would require very different formulas. All of our baits are made from the very best soft plastic available. The pliability of the plastic matters for many reasons; it gives the baits incredible action and it increases your hook up ratio by a lot! After settling on the base plastic, we went through the painstaking process of developing the perfect formula for each of our baits; this entailed adding the appropriate combinations (and type) of salt, scent, hardener and/or softener to the base plastic for the bait being poured. Stick baits should not (and do not) have the same "formula" as our grubs, jerk-baits, etc. The end result is appropriately constructed baits that have incredible action and as an added bonus, store great! We believe our baits are the "elephants" in this industry, they never forget what they looked like when first created. When baits (even ours) are stored improperly... folded in half, sandwiched between dividers in your tackle box, etc., you're going to have issues BUT if stored properly, our baits will remain in tact for a long time! After a trip on the water, take a moment to make sure your weapons are properly stored!
NOTABLES
We do NOT use liquid weight like many bait-makers out there. We use salt for weight. Everything tastes better with salt and bass know it! We do NOT use injection molds; when we say our baits are "hand poured" they truly are, one at a time. I know there are a lot of good vendors out there who use liquid weight and injection molds; no disrespect to those folks - it's just not our thing. We use real salt of various granule sizes and amounts based on the bait being poured and we will never re-melt and re-use cured plastic. Also, we developed a one of a kind scent formula we "cook" into all of our baits, we call it "house sauce" and it's just awesome! Is all of this overkill? - we don't think so.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Here's a little product specific information for you. If you like drop shotting or throwing a ned rig, both the leech and chub are off the chain scary good! Check out the PHOTOS & PRODUCT VIDEO page for a look at the leech on a drop shot rig... perfectly horizontal in the water and the action will make you say "there's no way it's doing what it's doing"! Our stick baits are fully round because they are poured in lateral molds. We most often fish them wacky style without an "o-ring" but you can fish them however you'd like; the action - unreal! Our "jerk-baits" have a huge hook pocket and should be fished on a screw in hook set up. This jerk-bait is a game changer! The double-tail grub has an "on steroids" action that will never cost you a good hook set! I could go on about every single one of our products, they are all as good as it gets; the mentioned just happen to be amongst our personal favorites. More product information can be found within the store. NOTE: Because we are a small company, we do not store much inventory; most of our baits are poured to order!
THE FLAT SIDE
What are the advantages and disadvantages of some of our baits having a "flat side"? Disadvantages: I guess you "could" say they aren't as pretty as baits popping out of injection molds (although I truly don't believe that). Advantages: That flat side makes a huge difference in many VERY good ways. It provides extra resistance in the water column when being "worked" or falling; it gives a backbone to our soft bodied baits. Jigs are easier to "skip" when coupled with a flat bodied trailer. It adds a gliding feature to our baits that have elongated bodies. Lastly, it adds a level of action that simply is not present in any other bait out there. Because our baits are so soft, do not buy these baits thinking they will last longer than our (well known) competitors' baits, they won't. We could pour you a stiff lifeless bait that would last a life-time but quality is the name of the game in our book! We give you a very fair amount of top notch hand poured custom baits at a reasonable price. We feel getting the bite and landing the fish is the goal here so we developed our baits with that in mind!

Whether you are a tournament angler or just like getting bit and landing fish, we feel our products give you the very best opportunity to do just that. Custom orders are always welcome. Give us a try, we are very confident you will notice the "SO GOOD" difference!
