Where this profile fits
Choose the Chub for a compact, slender straight-body presentation. It can pair with a light head or underspin without adding the broad tail shape of a shad or the curling tail of a grub. It is a useful profile comparison when you want to change shape rather than simply change bait length.
If tail movement is the feature you want to emphasize, compare the 4-inch Single Tail Grub. If you want the longer body and broader silhouette of a soft jerkbait, compare the Delta Tail Shad. Let that shape choice guide the head or weighted hook you use.
Rig options for 4" Chub
Underspin
Pairs the straight body with a small blade beneath the head.
Weighted or weightless hook
Select a hook gap that clears the body when rigging the point back into the plastic.
Can it be used as a trailer?
A situational straight-body trailer for a compact swim jig or spinnerbait. Check the keeper fit and choose a single-tail grub instead when sustained curly-tail movement is the priority.
