The larger hand-poured Single Tail Grub adds body and length to a classic curly-tail profile. Use the 5-inch size when a larger jig head or moving-bait hook calls for more plastic than the compact 4-inch grub.

Where this profile fits
Choose the 5-inch Single Tail Grub when your jig head or trailer hook needs more body than the 4-inch version supplies. It keeps the one-curly-tail idea while increasing overall length and body presence. That makes the two ST sizes a useful hardware-fit comparison before changing to a different bait family.
On a moving-bait trailer, check that the keeper holds the body straight and the hook leaves the tail unobstructed. Compare the Dual Tail Grub for a paired-tail outline. Compare the smaller ST Grub when you want to shorten the trailer while retaining a curling tail.
Rig options for 5" ST Grub
Underspin
Combines a blade beneath the head with the curled tail behind it.
Texas or Carolina rig
Options for a protected hook point in a larger grub presentation.
Can it be used as a trailer?
Yes, on swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and compatible buzzbait hooks. It supplies a slimmer trailer than a twin-tail grub while keeping a single curly tail behind the skirt.

Does the larger size replace the 4-inch grub?
It complements it. Pick the size that fits the hook and overall bait profile you want; the 4-inch version remains the compact option.
