Where this profile fits
Choose the 2.5-inch Reaper when reducing the size of the whole presentation matters more than adding tail action. Its short leech-style shape gives you a compact option for a drop shot or light head, with less bait extending beyond the hook than the larger Reaper or Leech.
Check the amount of plastic on your hook before choosing by length alone. A keeper that takes up most of this small body can restrict the tail; a longer Reaper may fit that particular head better even when you want a finesse presentation.
Rig options for 2.5" Reaper
Light jig head or Ned head
Match a light-wire hook to the body and keep the tail clear of the hook bend.
Split shot or light Carolina rig
A simple way to present the small leech-style profile behind a separate weight.
Can it be used as a trailer?
Yes, as a compact finesse or swim-jig trailer when you want a slim profile and restrained tail movement. Check that the jig's keeper and hook leave the little tail free.

How does it compare with the 3.75-inch Reaper?
The 2.5-inch version is the downsizing choice. Move to the 3.75-inch Reaper for more length while staying with a subtle leech-style profile.
